It’s been an interesting couple weeks with the conventions, and not without some concern as Obama’s amazing speech at the DNC was so quickly eclipsed by McCain’s VP choice and the surrounding media frenzy. This wonderful vid adds brings a hilarious touch of levity to the whole thing.

As an addendum to this post, I have to recommend this clip from the Daily Show which Load was kind enough to pass my way. It provides a rather hilarious and poignant juxtaposition of Clinton, Obama, and McCain on the night Barack became the Democratic nominee for president (on Tuesday, June 3, 2008 — and they call him the “presumptive” nominee but why mince words?).

Just checked this out thanks to Load. I see it raised a lot of commentary, a lot of profanity, but I enjoyed it. Read a blog by an old high school classmate of mine recently who went to see him speak hoping for magic and came away nonplussed. I haven’t gone to see him personally [Jill went down to the Key Arena to see him 2/8/08, but couldn't get in and had to watch him on the big screen in the Center House.], but I find this inspiring and the words moving.
